After completing her undergraduate studies in Music Performance, Ethnomusicology and English at the University of Rochester, Leah recently graduated with a master's degree in Arts Journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. In high school she performed as principal cellist of the Greater Buffalo Youth Orchestra and went on to perform as principal cellist of the University of Rochester Chamber Orchestra. While in Rochester she studied with Alan Harris at the Eastman School of Music and performed as manager of the Meliora String Quartet for visitors to the University such as Colon Powell, Stephen Chu, Anderson Cooper and Bill Nye. In 2010 she performed with URCO as the winner of the University of Rochester Concerto Competition. She toured to Santiago and Valparaiso, Chile with URCO and recently toured to Ireland with the Rochester Chapter of Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann to perform Irish fiddle music and dance. Throughout her time in Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse Leah has taught students ranging from Elementary School to College age.
