Welcome to our web site! The Musicians Union Local 92 is a labor union for professional musicians. Our goal is to improve the economic status, social position and general welfare of our members.

Membership is open to all musicians and vocalists who work part-time or full-time in pop, rock, country, jazz, classical, folk or other areas of music making. We are affiliated with the American Federation of Musicians of the United States and Canada (AFM). The Musicians Association of Buffalo was formed in 1886 by a collective of musicians seeking to organize professional musicians in our area. In 1897, the association was chartered as Local 43 by the American Federation of Musicians of the United States and Canada. In 1969, Local 43 merged with Local 533 and became Local 92. Our 116 year history makes us the oldest union in the Buffalo area.
